Seeds for a guerrilla grow.
Cannabis seeds for a guerrilla grow, for when you can't check on your plants every day. Short flowering, so you harvest before the autumn rain; easy, so a missed week doesn't hurt; small or average height, so they don't stand out.

Filters we used, and why
- Feminized: every seed grows into a female plant, the one that flowers, so you don't need to spot and remove males. Feminized or regular.
- Easy: the breeder or a shop calls it easy to grow. It forgives a missed watering or a feeding mistake. Grow specs.
- Flowering time short: under 56 days of flowering for photoperiods, under 70 days from seed to harvest for autoflowers. You harvest before the autumn rain and mould. Grow specs.
- Height small or average: under 160 cm as stated, so it doesn't stand out. Height brackets.
What a guerrilla grow asks of a plant
A guerrilla grow is a plant outdoors, away from home, that you visit now and then. Nobody waters it every day, fixes a problem the moment it starts or covers it when it rains. So the plant has to cope on its own, finish before the weather turns and not draw attention.
| Need | Filter on this page | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Few visits | Easy | Forgives dry spells and missed feeding |
| Finish before autumn rain | Flowering time short | Less time for mould on dense buds |
| Stay out of sight | Height small or average | Under 160 cm, below most undergrowth |
| No wasted plants | Feminized | No males to find and remove on a visit |
Autoflower or photoperiod outdoors?
Both work, and this page shows both. They suit different plans.
Autoflowers
- Plant in late spring; harvest about 8 to 12 weeks later, in summer.
- Compact, so easy to keep hidden.
- Two runs in one summer are possible in a mild climate.
- Smaller harvest per plant.
Photoperiods
- Plant in spring; the plant grows all summer and flowers as the nights get longer.
- Harvest from September into October, depending on the strain and how far north you are.
- Bigger plants and bigger harvests, but more to hide.
- A short flowering time matters most here: a long one is still flowering in the October rain.
Choosing for your climate
| Your summer | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Short and wet (UK, Netherlands, north Germany, Canada) | Autoflowers, or photoperiods with a short flowering time |
| Average (central Europe) | Either; short flowering photoperiods give the most |
| Long and dry (south Europe) | Most photoperiods finish in time; watch for heat and water |
Mould is the biggest risk late in the season. Dense buds hold water after rain, and grey mould can spread through a plant in days. Look for mould resistance under More from the sources on each seed's page; it isn't a filter yet.
Before you plant
Check the law where you live. Growing cannabis is legal for personal use in some countries and regions and not in others, and growing on land that isn't yours can be an offence in itself. Choose a spot you're allowed to use.
What else to compare
- Price per seed: outdoor growers often sow more seeds to allow for losses to pests or animals. A large pack (10 to 25 seeds) can make that cheaper. Bigger packs, cheaper seeds. Sowing many spots this season? See bulk seeds for a guerrilla grow.
- Taste and effect: a direction, not a promise. Effect and taste.
- A short summer at home? The same filters help in a back garden: see fast-flowering seeds for a short summer.
Make it yours
- Autoflowers only: plant in late spring, harvest in summer.
- Photoperiods only: bigger plants, harvest in early autumn.
- Help choosing: autoflower or photoperiod.
Good to know
Mould and pest resistance matter most outdoors, but they aren't filters yet. Look under More from the sources on each seed's page.
Filters like high, short, small and easy only show seeds where a breeder or shop states that figure. A seed with no figure sits in the middle bracket, so it isn't shown here even if it would fit. No figure? The middle bracket.
